Major Announcement

The Scrapbook Industry has changed a lot in the last 10 years and we are humbled to be part of its amazing journey from the blog's original inception as Pubcalls starting in 2004 with an awesome team of people along the way to make it work and then when it became Scrapbook Calls and Contests in 2009.

So it is with great sadness that I have to announce our decision to close Scrapbook Calls and Contests as of July 1st 2012.

We have not taken this decision lightly nor without talking it through with a variety of sources to see what the best way forward would be. We could no longer justify the time and energy it takes to run ScrapCalls behind the scenes - especially as we are now just a team of two.

We want to thank the Original Paperbag Lady for setting up this wonderful service and to the members of the team who along the way helped make Scrapbook Calls and Contests into a big part of a lot of people's journey in the Scrapbook industry.

and a special shout out to Cheryl who has done most of the behind-the-scenes work on the calls for the last year - without her dedication, Scrapbook Calls and Contests would have closed before now.

I also want to thank all the Manufacturers, Stores, Kit Companies and blogs who have used Scrapbook Calls and Contests over the years along with our amazing subscribers and fans who have been so positive about our service.

and to that end we want to suggest that you transfer over to the either of these sites for your Design Team and Publication calls... DTCalls or Design Team Calls or ScrapMaster.

Any calls will still go up on the blog until the end of June and any calls on our Calendar will still go out in our weekly newsletter for the next few months and the calendar will be available to view for another six months.

We hope you understand that this decision did not come to pass lightly and I for one will miss Scrapbook Calls and Contests enormously as I have been part of the team for over 5 years.

Thank you all again and may you continue with your Scrapbooking and crafting adventures with joy and enthusisam.

you dont have to use their subscriber service - they post a lot of their front blog page... but to make and maintain the service it costs money so they have software costs to cover never mind to cover their time.

there are plenty of other places about so check them all out.
